Beautiful morning for a run. Shorts, windbreaker and gloves. Run a 5.3 miles this morning in 43.06 minutes. Legs felt good but the lung are a little congested from breathing in clouds of dust after ripping out old carpets from one of my father in-laws buildings.

Another long week-end for me. I'm off tomorrow on another vacation day so with six weeks till my race I am going to try and get in a lot of time on my feet during the next three days. So run, hike and power walk for one long run and two medium long runs. Gro what'syour schedule this week-end Saturday for me will be in the afternoon and Sunday I'm avaiable all day.

Enjoy the day

Roly

Well... a second morning run for me... it is so nice outside this morning. Did a 35 minutes run and finally my legs are not as stiff... Guess they just understood that I am in charge, not them

Have a great day everyone! Any

I've changed to an early morning schedule because of a work contract and it's killing me. I guess I'll be able to fit in running when I get over the exhaustion from the schedule change ... Haven't run since Tues. before I started this contract. Ugh.

How do you guys do it?

I'm like you, DR. Ran only once this week (but hard & fast). Gonna run today at Bois de Liesse Park. Two loops = 90 minutes, then off to the City finals in Badminton. Three doubles and one singles going for the gold!

oh yeah, and I eat 15 meals a week at work. Breakfast (after morning training), lunch and dinner (before evening training). I bring tons of food with me to work... Don't get home till about 9-10pm at night.

I have the great chance to be a freelancer, working right here at home. So, I can choose when it's more convenient for me to run. I realize that I'm very, very lucky, because it's easier for me to adjust my training according to the rest of my life.

I also don't know any software developers who have time to train for an Ironman/triathlon with the 60-hour+ schedules we work and the fact that the work is just never done fast enough so we end up having to stay at work till all hours on the bosses whim when he decides he wants to see it NOW/at-6AM the next day and all on a moments notice... hard to plan training around that but most developers are just ready to do it so if you don't you'll soon be out of a job...

No I'm not bitter...

WHAT!?! No snacks? I couldn't do without the 3 snacks a day in between the meals!

Sally

p.s. Why am I always so hungry? It's not like I'm training much ...

Hej everybody,

I collected my race kit yesterday and I am beginning to feel excited. I realised that the race is big. There are more than 1500 runners registered for the full and more than 2300 for the half. And there are probably a lot of list minute registrations. The expo was small, but, anyway, I didn't intend to buy anything.

I do not expect any extraordinary results for tomorrow. First, my recent training results are about as they were two years ago. Second, the weather forecast predicts a battle in the heat: Maximum of 28 C during the day and no clouds during the morning. Only good news is, that temperatures still drops to 10-15 C at night. I am slightly worried about water. The first water station is at km 6. Afterwards they are much more frequent (9 in total on the half course plus the one in the finish area with the free beer), but I feel that running one third of the race without water isn't a good idea. So, I decided to carry my own bottle with me. I will go out at 6 min/km and hopefully, I will manage something in the range of my previous halfs (2:03:34 and 2:10:00). I will let you know ...

Enjoy your weekend

Ralf

Tag Ralf - its raining this am in Montreal and area, everything getting greener...spring flowers, lilacs are starting to bud.

Good luck tomorrow, let us know how you manage...yep, carry that water with you if its going to be that hot.

I ran only once this week after the event last Sunday. It was Wednesday evening after a second visit to the hospital. A show, short trot in the hood. Heavy legs, left achey

Have done quite a bit of walking with my crazy schedule these past days and went to the pool quickly yesterday. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into some sort of schedule next week.

Enjoy the weekend everyone - 'fly
