Hello, hello...another Monday already, oye.

Congratulations to the weekend racers, that was a muggy, sticky day.

Short, slow hoof on the mountain yesterday morning, much better weather and I had great company....g & g. Went to the pool afterwards for a short paddle.

Got to get to work, will check out the photos later...have a good one everyone.

Been training at Parc Jean-Drapeau on the weekends... the pool is beautiful! But a little shallow (about 4'2" all over - warm-up pool anyway). I can water run in it but I suspect regular folks unlike me will nick their toes on the bottom... I heard there is a beach there, where is that?

No whiteface this year?

Well, I must be getting hooked... or going crazy

Went out this morning for a 40 minutes run at 7:00 am, IN THE RAIN... I never would have done that a couple of months ago (both the rain and getting up earlier to run)...

There must be something in the air!!!!

Am looking to run St-Bruno, is anyone else doing it?

Getting up early in the morning takes some getting used to ... but I ran in this morning too, just a short 28 min. jaunt around the neighbourhood, but enough to realise that my hamstrings are tight and my legs are heavy. Gotta shake them up a bit if I'm going to gain some speed for later this summer ...

Good going LA!!

DR: when we gonna swim together? You can make fun of my technique, but at least I'm smooth! I swim like I run ... slow and steady.

SS: I swim mostly at McGill these days... Shoulder's still quirky so I'm doing lots of backstroke and fist now! Most of the time i"m in the "injured lane" with my buddy Jen who can kick leisurely on her back faster than I can sprint front crawl (ok to be fair she used to be an elite triathlete and was invited to do the world cup marathon swim this year)...

I'm considering entering myself for 50 back and 100 back this summer! haha...

Gro: METRES! The FINA Grand Prix marathon distance is 32 km open water swim is by invitation only! You have to qualify through other open water marathon swims.

Gag: is Mrs. RG going to do the swim meet at Jean-Drapeau this month?

Havn't run since Sunday, Planning a 60 minute easy run tonight. Have a client in till Thursday so timing has been a little off.

So what do you use as a drop bag, will a garbage bag do. How much stuff are we allowed to bring. After seeing my list my drop bags will compete with Santa Clause's gift bag.

A very excited Roly

Well I have reduced the size of my list, since we will be roughing-it over the week-end, Camping and running a tough mountain race. I've removed the baby wipes and pedicure kit from the list.

Best of luck to Roly and Grommit this weekend.
I have no doubt that it will difficult and painful. But I also believe that it will be an experience of a lifetime and worth the sacrifice. Looking forward to the race report and pictures.
