Do they have a family 2k ???

I can barely run a half hour. Might be tough to finish ATB in that timeframe.

No ATB for me. Getting up early on a Sunday morning in March in freezing weather to run 18 miles is just crazy talk!

I'm off to Tucson on Friday for a week's vacation. I'm bringing my bike so I can get in lots of miles on real roads. It's supposed to be in the 30's there this weekend!!

I'm not. I haven't signed up, haven't done any training towards it and I've still got a bit of a cold to boot. I'll miss doing it. Let me know if they've made any corrections after last year's finish area mess.

Not me. Not ready and I'm taking my son to see Phantom that afternoon. . Toying with the idea of the Burlington Runners Good Friday 10 miler.

Just heading out for 12k. Off the next two days. I didn't realize how tired I was until I splet to 11 this morning! Feel really lazy but it was nice!

Gotta keep us from sliding off the page

Yesterday was a bit odd to run in. I looped down around the cn tower and back. The sun was nice and strong but the wind was no fun. I was either too warm or too cool depending on which way the wind was hitting me.

I think I'm gonna run the half in miserysauga.

I was going to run the Bay... something to make up for my miserable running performance the past 2 years. And then reality of living in a freaking snow belt hit.

Snow belts SUCK.

I ran outside for the first time in something like 4 months last week. My legs are still sore!

I'll see you at Mississauga Jim.

I've got some strange dizzy thing happening - I feel like I just got off a boat

I like getting ready for a 1/2 - so much easier than a full!!!!!!!

Looking forward to my first ATB.

Any tips on Saturday night? I am staying at the Sheraton. I'm planning on the expo and dinner. Any other highlights in Hamilton?
I enjoy going out and seeing a place before the race.....

Thanks and good runs to everyone!

Highlights and Hamilton are rarely used in the same sentence. If your a CFL fan the CFL Hall of Fame is right by the Sheraton. If your a war history buff the HMCS Haida is now anchored in Hamilton Bay, though I'm not sure they are open for tours yet.

I'll be working the Running Room booth all weekend and doing the race on Sunday for probably the tenth time or more.

Good race to you too.

Poor Hamilton - always the subject of nasty jokes from Torontonians. Its that drive past the steel mills.

There are some lovely areas in Hamilton (grew up in a suburb - Ancaster. Dundurn Castle is worth a visit. The Art Gollery is right dowtown at the Convention Centre. There is a very nice waterfront park along the Bay with trails. There are some beutiful older residential neighbour hoods worth a drive through. Ask at the desk, I'm sure they can give you lots of ideas.

The downtown is a bit dead, however.

Six 800's last night (actually 838's), 3:55 goals, some better some around 4:00. They hurt.

I'm a Toronto boy and I always wonder why Toronto people feel a need to put down Hamilton all the time. It's not like the world compares the two places. There are some absolutely lovely areas...the first half of Around the Bay isn't one of them however.

I often run in Hamilton....along the waterfront to Cootes is a great path. Sometimes I'll do it 3 times, bike, blade, run.

Usually I end up at Williams Coffee Pub just east of the yacht clubs.

Sorry, a bit late, but I hope all who ran the Bay had a great run! Must have been a little foggy at the start I would think!

Took the boy to the Phantom - nice afternoon. Wasn't as good as the first time I saw it, but Zak loved it. Wicked is still the favourite, however.

Great run!

I stayed the night before at the Sheraton and had a great dinner at Piazza A?. Race day was colder and foggier than forecast, even the morning forecast predicted the fog would burn off. I would be surprised if the temps ever reached 40*, despite 50* being forecast.

The route is pretty nice. Yes, the first bit is through a depressed industrial city. Coming from Buffalo, that was nothing new.

Once we got to the northshore, we saw our share of Jags and yachts. The hills were as advertised. The final 4k were tough, since I was a bit undertrained. The pace bunnies were helpful.

The race organization was modest and well done.

The finish line inside Copps was great fun.

The post-race food would be better with a place to sit down

Made me think about coming up for Missasauga or London's marathon. Also got some insight on Toronto's different marathons.

Great run.

It was a great day. I was the 3:40 bunny and came in on time + 20 sec. I was the only one left after the hills so I just kept going on my own. I saw a few of my pack at the finish and they said that they were unprepared for the hills as well. (the race is 113 years old who dosn't know about the hills)

Congrats to the ATB'ers! Glad it wasn't too cold for you.

We just got back from 10 days in Tucson. We had a horrible trip down (stuck in Philly for 4 days due to the ice storm!!), but once we got there it was fabulous. I got in some great cycling and running. The weather was a bit on the cool side, but it didn't really stop us from doing anything. I like the area so much better than Phoenix which seems like one big strip mall to me.

Back to reality today although we're still on Arizona time (3 hrs behind).

So no change in the finish line setup I gather. I liked it better when it was pizza and beer and a bunch of people all sitting together in a big room.

Good job, Chris. Looks like the morning was a bit chilly. Last year it was shorts and a T.

Four days? That's a very long time. What did they do, try and get rid of the ice by putting ice cube-sized portions into glasses?

I can explain our long wait in Philly by saying that we were flying USAir. Makes sense now, right? Never again. DH was on hold with their reservations number for 9 hours and then another 2 hours before we got our flight booked. That was a nightmare I never want to repeat.

It's warm enough even for me to run outside now. This is so cool! Did a 45 minute run outside with some tempo thrown in for fun. My running is feeling great. Still slow by most people's standards, but fast for me. I'm even thinking about doing the 1/2 at Mississauga.

Did my long run (1:40) in the park today and froze! I forgot to wear my warm hat and mitts. I guess I got too used to the Arizona temps last week. Ran from Taylor Creek up to Edwards Gardens and back. Had to do a few loops of the parking lots to make it long enough. I'm guessing it's about 10 miles give or take.
