[QUOTEThe big task was laying down a plywood surface since the grass was partially snowy and wet from the ice/slush storm.[/B][/QUOTE]I thought you guys did that to give the tent that refugee camp vibe. I personally like it, seriously. If only the UNHCR was faster with results.

Hey folks,Hope all are doing well. It was bitterly cold walking to physio this morning at 7am so I can imagine how cold it was running – eh, Jim. I am enjoying using the elliptical and find I am getting some of my conditioning back and my general knee strengthening is going well – but I still have pain. The MRI is next week so hopefully I will know more soon. My daughters and I have volunteered to help at the High Park Spring Run-Off (April 7) so I hope to see some of you there. Cheers, Craig

You should have very strong middle fingers when they recover. I hear they are looking for some volunteers with strong middle fingers at the Prostrate Spring Run Off in High Park for some special duties. It puts a whole new slant on the term 'bag check.' Well the weather is going to be good on Sunday and I have to do a 26 (maybe I'll wear my shorts). I don't mind the winter that much but this is getting a little old. I am sick of having no heat and dressing like a blob. ------------------ stay strong be brave and wait for the signs FIT CHIC03

Store location please - just want to check out who staff are.....opps, sorry, I mean't sales.11k with my group tonight. Coach was nice to me as I'm just coming back, so 6k tempo run while everyone else did 800's. I'm not in as bad shape as I thought (but not where I should be if I'd keep it up). So I've logged 48k since last Saturday - and I feel good - nothing likely phasing back in slowly. Spring starts tomorrow! Patti

I am in the heart of Tennessee and heading across the stateline into North Carolina for a day of skiing...which should be a bit of a change from home as it's already 55 degrees here and will be 70 by 11 am.Probably too hot to run today. Thanks for all the concern about my middle fingers. They are feeling much better. I was exercising them on the drive down here, but people seemed really angry at me for it. I guess these Merkuns aren't as into fitness as we Canajuns are.

I'd moved that run to the afternoon, Craig, in the sunshine, I'm being a wimp this winter. It was still -18 when I was out though.Looks like a good daytime melt/nighttime freeze cycle for the next while, which always makes the sidewalks interesting to run on. Keep your eyes in front of you, folks.

It was beautiful tonight. We did a mindless 10K around North York and other than a little bit of ice ( and to tofu ) that I had for lunch it was great. ------------------ stay strong be brave and wait for the signs FIT CHIC03

That's pretty far. How far did you go, Jim?As for me, I'm pretty sure I saw Ed at the Running Room booth at the Achilles 5k today.

It woulda been farther but when I passed Dawn I was favoring a leg as my left quad was acting up on me (from stuff I was doing on Friday). I woulda stopped to talk, Dawn, but I didn't wanna tighten up any more than I was . I got 2 hours worth in with 45 minutes at a nice elevated clip, but the last half hour was pretty slow going. At the 2 hour mark I hopped the subway home rather than risk injury. What was going on at the ballet? There were a ton of people heading into the opera house when I was passing it.

Yup that was me. Four guy sitting around acting as an unofficial information booth for the race. - Where do I get my timing chip? = The big Sportstats green tent. - Where the race director? = On the stage talking into the microphone. - Do you have any extra safety pins? = Check with Registration. - Where's registration? = Under the sign that says Registration - Where's the bag check? = Under the sign that says Baggage Check. You get the ideal.

There was a matinee performance of The Taming of the Shrew. We usually go on Friday nights, but we had to switch them for the Sunday matinee. I took my 2 girls. We were late for the show, so we couldn't stop to talk either. I hope your leg is feeling better today. I got my 10 miler in starting at 6:30 last night. It felt so great to run outside for a change. My first outdoor run since early January. I hate running after dark, but I had to get this run in. This is an easy week for me, but I missed 3 workouts last week, so I think I'm going to add in some workouts to my schedule. No need for a rest week right now.

It definitely is nice to be outside. I only ran a 10k yesterday, as my legs were tired. I guess that happens when you do dick for two weeks than rack up 62k in 9 days - but it felt good.........Day off today. Got a date tonight and its not with my son Patti

blech, I'm fighting a cold. I thought it was just my usual allergies but it's in my glands and throat and stuff. I'll still run today though, it'll be too nice not to. It's amazing how quickly the snow is disappearing. You look at it after the storms and figure it'll be here till July, but it only takes a few warm days to get rid of it all.
