Congrats on getting your house back, Patti! Toronto Bike Show is on this weekend for anyone that's interested. I'll probably head down at some point over the weekend.

Double sugar, single cream please (no drywall dust thank you). Probably a good ideal to clean off any white powder laying around any flat surfaces in the house in case any visitors get the wrong ideal. Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of a training program? Oh well, Que Sera, Sera. You should ace that Half Marathon Program Patti

*Nothing* makes me want to go for a swim. Especially anything related to cold! I've done the Milton sprint twice and that's enough for a lifetime!!

Nope. Don't know what you're talking about. Sorry. I did my long run on the t/m today. 90 minutes. Ugh! Hopefully this is the last long run on the t/m.

I was actually talking to Fitchic... oops gave away her identity... but the Bollywood thriller is over in the clubhouse... somewhere on the first or second page. It might just make you laugh. Hey Fitchic, did you caress the bum of the men's mannequin (the one in the nice nike tights) while John spoke to you? mini ------------------ Relent not unless ye be trampled and left for dead.

It took me 2 hours to get from Yonge and Shepard to Bathurst and Steeles. What a mess. The bus was full of york students who foundout that class was cancelled.

No problems getting to work this morning at all. The DVP was almost empty, no mess 'cept for the occasional puddle in the dips. I cleared my driveway last night after the snow, this morning was just some ice but it had warmed enough I could mostly just shovel it away.

I wonder if the ice falling off the buildings downtown has preventing John Stanton from getting to the RR today? He still hasn't shown up yet at our store. I am off work in a 1/2 hour.------------------ Relent not unless ye be trampled and left for dead.

I just came in to work at 6:00...apparently there were 42 calls from other RRs wanting to know if he was here yet.Geesh...it's not like he's Anna Nicole. They are asking everyone here to go to Burlington tomorrow morning for the Friendship Run 3K with Mr. Stanton...and you get a free bagel. It's worth the drive to Burlington. I'm apparently supposedly helping herd cows and have a "mature presence" (that makes me giggle) at the Start Line on Sunday. I really wanted to be a course marshall at the 15K mark...so I could be out there for about 5 hours.

Too bad JC, I'm in charge of delivering Hot Chocolate to the course volunteers. I would of gave you one with extra marshmellows.

Well, got Burlington thorough the Ice/Slush Storm Friday morning in actually good time, just over any hours worth of travel. Worked the Running Booth from 9am-9pm plus picked up 29 Race Kits for my Run Club.Saturday started at 9am again (yes I missed the Friendship Run with John Stanton) and worked the booth again till about noon, then switched over to Chili tent set up, which included table and chair set up, chili and coffee prep area. The big task was laying down a plywood surface since the grass was partially snowy and wet from the ice/slush storm. Race day Sunday started with me getting to Burlington at just before 6am to help set up the Finish Line (hope you liked it JC) which took a couple of hours. Was able to grab a quick break for a coffee and bite to eat in the Chili tent before I loaded my container of Hot Chocolate, cups and 400 Timbits into a Running Room hatchback. Took off at about 8:30am making stops at the six water stations on course and any course marshals that were out early. Most of the volunteers were high school students doing their community hours and boy could they inhale Timbits. I suggested for them to load up Timbits into a paper cup and there were quite a few takers. By the time I finished my deliveries the Half had started and I had the pleasure of catching up with the last runners/walkers at the 4K mark and tailing them with my emergency flashers for the rest of the way. Yes, nuthin’ like going at approx. 6.5kph for just under 3 ½ hours. A little cold that day with mild to moderately westerly winds. After that it was taking down the start area (Where was JC to help?), then reversing what I did at the chili tent. My muscles are sore today from throwing around all the tables, plywood boards and chili pots, etc. I slept 12 hours last night. Eddie

Wow, what a busy group! Jim, your pictures were amazing! Dawn or Fit Chic ??? congrats to your daughter's team and you. Nice butts to rub - maybe I'll start workin' at RR. Eddie, you deserved a good night's sleep. JC, how was the bagel. Minime - who the H*** are you - do I know you????????? My group did really well at Grimsby. One lady won the 45-49 age group in just over 1:35. Others around 1.42 -1:44........no wonder I'm initmidated by them! Budget is basically approved, heat is off. Ran 10k both Sat and Sun after a week of not managing anything. but I'm back on the plan. Patti
