Can someone pass the WD-40? Lots of creaky body parts this morning... Drove JB + Mrs. JB to the airport before going to work. What a great weekend we had! A couple of very special people there, JB & and the missus... Mars

I'm Home, I survived.I will post some pictures in the yahoo site later today, and will write a race/weekend report later as well. Right now I have a small flight of stairs to contend with. I cannot thank Mars and Mrs.Mars enough for the gynormous (sp?) amount of hospitality and generosity shown to us over this past weekend. Everything from shuttling us to & from the airport, to acting as our very own personal tour guide through the red rock canyon. Mars & mrs. Mars... You guys are awesome. more to come later. -M veni vidi vici

JoeBoxer: What an experience that must have been! 1st marathon, 1st time in Vegas, and a tour of some of the natural beauty that so many tourists miss out on. Congratulations again! I am glad you made it home safe and sound.I made it out running again, and it was a great day for it.. Shorts and t-shirt, (over the long underwear)..haha. I was pushing the running stroller, and I think I kept my time close to the same pace.. It is a liitle slower but it was fun. I was suprised there was any ice at all, but parts of the trail are really out of the sunlight. Well I hope everyone enjoyed these last few days! Truxx

Began a comeback of sorts tonight with 30 minutes on the TM at the Y. Relatively pedestrian 7.5mph for thirty minutes. Quite uncomfortable but not painful - unlike the drive home. Maybe try again tomorrow with Phoenix at the Jetty. Any takers?

Has it been six weeks already, how time does fly. tsk, tsk, tsk I'll let the others give you there " you should be resting speech" I don't listen to good advise either. "Relatively pedestrian 7.5mph for thirty minutes." I call that my tempo run!! [This message has been edited by rolyone (edited Dec-13-2006).]

Mercury1.. I would love to go to the Jetty tonight! Unfortunately, I think I might be watching the kids right as you are getting started.. I will see if we can arrange something. Have fun anyways, and I hope the pain starts going away.. Good work on living in dog years.. 5 days=4 weeks!Truxx

JB: Congratulations big guy! Welcome to the club. Love the pics. Now the that gastro is behind me. I ran with at the McGill track yesterday. Really fun. Unfortunately I wasn't aware that we were headed out there so I ended up running in a long sleeve and tights. Ugh.. I did not feel fresh afterward. TB

I would think if you are feeling fresh after a run then your just not doing it right. Gomez where is Grommit, did you show him how to lick his wounds. Kidding aside so how are you, hope it isn't too serious and we'll see you on the mountain soon. Roly

http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/montrealcoolrunners/I added an album of my own... Unfortunately, the sharpness and resolution takes a beating, but it's better than nothing. JB, let me know if there are any you would like to have. Obviously, some near-duplicates. Take care, y'all. Mars

Welcome back boys. As soon as I figure out how to open up the Yahoo pics, I am sure they will be great.Comeback of a sorts on my part. Phoenix / Jetty workout of 4 x 1K in 4:15; 3:58 ; 3:40 & DNF. Got a bit carried away with the fun and forgot why I wasn't there for two weeks and the pain in the ribs hit me suddenly like a sledge-nammer during the jog rest leading up to the last one. To make matters worse, I got half-way there in the car and got a flat tire, so I ditched the car and jogged the rest of the way. The Phoenix gang were too cool as they drove me back to the car afterwards and changed my tire!!! Bill Ludlow wouldn't let me touch it! Had the next day off to re-coop and will try again today on the TM at an easier pace. Got my Boston confirmation in the mail yesterday Should be closer to the front as my qualifying time was 10 minutes faster than my previous 3:13. I may get to see some Africans this time around! Great day outside folks. Could be shorts weather. Enjoy.
