Met a wonderful young lady with DF today at the MAA pool... Hope to see her again soon!!

Can always count on the MAA pool to be open when no one else is...

TB: for socks and underwear, always X + 1 for every 5 days you're there. Don't get lost in the French food world before your race! Keep your eyes on the prize (for now keep the fatenning foods + alcohol outta your stomach....)! Fly safe...Check in when you get there if you have access...

Went rollerblading yesterday while the flakes were floating about on their way down to Earth... Nothing like blading in the Spring while catching flakes on your tongue...

DR: Thanks for the laundry tips. Does a pair count if you flip 'em inside out? As for food. I'll be headed down to Chinatown (okay, China street) to look taste their yummy dishes. Mmm... cantonese chow mein served with foie gras?

Looking at the weather forecast, I'm beside myself that there is a 15-20 degree differential. Just as I was getting used to this chilly weather, I'll have to contend with the warm weather on the day of the race.

I'll try to drop in following the race. There should be an internet terminal with all these cafés around.

Best,

TB

Just came back from NH White Mountains. Still winter up there. Lots of snow + ice + cold. Avalanche warning was in full effect. My first 2007 aerobic outing.

TurtleB: Hope the course is avoiding as much as possible the pavés de Paris. Don't wanna run too long on those... Allez garçon tortue !!!

NTB is now on his flight to Paris, but it's never too late to wish him a great marathon. Same to you Merc. I'll check both of you on the Web. After the finish for TB and probably live for Merc.

Got back to Mt-Ste-Anne last night. Winter is not over at all and ski season is still there. Snow all over the place. Had a great run today. Anybody can tell me how comes I'm faster running hills here than on a flat course in Mtl? Could it be pollution in the city that slow me down a bit?

That goes for me too.. GOod Luck again, TurtleBoy..! Have a good time there, and Enjoy the luxurious lifesytle of a jet-setting marathoner!! What a way to spend a vacation.

I made it out again last night for a good training session.. I got in some speed work after the first mile.. and then 10 minutes of hill charge! I think I am going to be ready for this weekend.. As long as I keep going.. haha

It looks like spring-has-sprung here today!

Truxx

P.S... Thanks for the weekend run Easygo!! That was a lot of fun, and a great way to start the Easter Holiday.

Alright, I am thinking of doing a long run this Sat. leaving from my house to the mountain, up and down, and back home.

Plan to leave my house at 10am, arrive at the monument at 10:30. Anyone want to join me and my friend Geoff either at my house or at the monument? I don't know yet if we will run 18 or 21k, but me being the wuss I am, that could mean 18k, only up to the Smith House then back down again, but you never know ... I may decide to run the loop at the top too if I'm stupid enough ...

Hello Sally,

Norm and I are planning to run 18k this weekend so Saturday morning might be a possibility. I have to validate with Norm, will tell you later.

Df, are you interested. Anyone else? Roly?

Yep... you seem to be looking for a challenge. How about a pb... I bet you don't have the chipolatas to give it a fair try.

Nope, I don't even know what a chipolata is ... I'd have to give up dancing, snowboarding, swimming, cycling ... probably even more ... and then train hard and consistently, like DR and TB, to even come close to a PB. I just need to train enough to beat Roly.

Sally

p.s. When will Thurs. hill runs start again ... I'm itching ...
p.p.s. Merc .. Good luck in Boston - hope the weather cooperates and it at least stays dry!

I believe more in you than you do. Just 3 times a week and you'll be close to 4. Chipolata is spicy sausage usually served with cojones.

How about meeting us at the bottom of the mountain and then doing just 8 or 11k up and down?

Hope to see you there!

Merci Gag, whats that expression Gro uses...? life gets in the way..

I've done a fair amount of running in prep for this thing, but I'm always squeezing it in between a ton of other crap..and I had a plan...throw in a bout of stomach bug, still experiencing problems with the leg, whatever, seems its never enough. I've sketched out a few runs from now til then and it will have to do...

Looking forward to seeing you there that morning, as well as Knee. Anyone else joining the fun ?

Wondering how Ninj is doing "over there"...

HEY JB! I'm going to Centaur tomorrow to watch a play that my buddy John wrote! Uh how do you get there by metro??? Will you be there tomorrow??

Hey TB, remember, lay off the booze and the foie gras till AFTER the race! No buffets nor BBQ's either! Drop us a line when you have access...

SNOW? wtf????

PS: Good luck to TB for Sunday; Merc, Mikey, Speedyfeet and Jlo for Boston on Monday! PB's for everyone!

Really... come and redeem your all-natural no-sugar no-salt added peanut butter sandwich upon your return! HAHAHHAHAHA....
