Have fun tonight, I rarely leave work before 5:45, 6pm so it's impossible for me... Still sick and congested, WTF? It's been 4 days and I"m still congested...Any tips are welcome...

My last week at the MAA... I'll be there on Sunday AM for my weekly session with my training buddy/marathon swimmer...

Sorry all, for being unable to attend the "new year" party last nite. I got Shanghied (pardon the pun) into coaching the Girls Badminton team - along with the boys team - at my school, and we had a team tryout late into Friday evening. Our original practice date was Tuesday, but both of our basketball teams have made the quarter finals, so we got bounced forward. (guys or girls who like birds, just can't get any repect). I am sure we will all touch base soon, though. Maybe even before Lasalle.

Belated happy "New Year" Hope all is well TB. Don't be a stranger! lol

Yep.. Sorry for me to miss last nights New Years party too! I would have loved to go, and I guess I should have been logging my running progress this last week with the rest of the gang.. I made it out for a 6+ mile run on Weds. night at 9:00 or so.. I forgot the hat and gloves even, but not the music! (and the reflectors, or course).. My hands got warmed up after 5 minutes, isn't it supposed to be colder than that?? Is it still February?

O.K.. I will check back tonight and see if the mountain @8:30-9:00am is a go tomorrow, or maybe St.Bruno?? Anytime earlier even .. Anyone?

Truxx, Sorry I couldn't make it this morning but I got out this afternoon and ran a couple of hours in the woods. Really nice day feels like Spring out there. Hope everyone got a chance to get out there. Much nicer than my 5 am run yesterday which was very cold and very windy.

Total for the week-end about 5.5 hours total 4 hours running and 1.5 hours of powerwalking at 5% incline on the TM.

I hope some of you all got out there today! It was nice conditions on Mt. St.Bruno.. I kept a mellow pace, and ran with the crowds.. That was becasue I got started so late in the day.. It was beautiful! A good hour of trails and hills.. nice little rolling ones. I had fun.

I hope everyone is having a nice start to the new week!

And no food descriptions either???

Sally: Am not full-blown injured (damn breaststroke) but am resting my shoulder so I have my hands full with mcgill practices already... When I'm a) not sick and b) not injured.... !!

Saw TB at the gym on Sunday... He was on his way to more Chinese food!

Bump.

Ok, who's up for a run on the Mountain this week-end. I'm available on Sunday (morning or afternoon) let me know. We can meet up on Park, near the Monument.

Hi Everyone. Where is everybody.. Busy I guess? I ran last night in the spring like conditions for about an hour.. A few trails, with the bungie spikes, and the snow was a lot better. It is much more firm between the x-country tracks, and you get way more traction. I hope some of yhe others are out there training, and too busy to get to the computers, becasue it is has been nice\!

Rolyone: I am in for Sunday morning or afternoon.. I prefer the mornings with a lot less people, and easier to find parking too. One of these days we will try Mt.St.Bruno.. and I want you guys to show me Mt.St.Hilaire!! I am looking forward to running a lot of trails this year.

G’mornin’– ran Sunday morning in my area, short pool hop after work on Monday, last night, 5k t/m with a section faster – trying to get me out of “slug mode” and see if the hip holds up, followed by 15 min in the pool, all I had time for, on to home to wolf down supper and then pull out the glue gun and make a “funny hat” for school today…munchkin is wearing a funny purple cat on her head…

Here I thought that spring was around the corner and I heard the forecast this morning when I crawled out of bed…oh well, it will be pretty for your hill run this coming weekend.

Going to try a hood run this evening…shall see. Have an excellent day all - ‘fly

I'd love to go for a run with you guys but I just cant get up early on sundays, my earliest is 11 am -but I even like the afternoons better. Is'nt it fun when there are lots of people? It's like a party!

But I will not be vexed if you go early because I understand most people want to get this done and have the rest of the day with their family.

Not this year,

Ok so Sunday it is, Truxx how about we split it even and meet at 11:00 am so that KJ can join us. Mont St-Hilaire will have to wait until it's safer to run on with less ice and snow. Hopefully in April.

Df7 How did the hood run go this evening.

100 days left fo Pittsfield Peaks Ultra, 600-700 training miles left to go. What have I talked myself into,

roly

I have to check with the family, but 11:00 might work. I do prefer to get the running in earlier, but it will be great to run with Kj and whoever else decides to go.

Rolyone: since when are you worried about the ice, or whatever..?? Didn't you used to go hiking in the winters with Cramp-ons? Or was that someone else..

Humm that was Gro, Chops and me, Maybe Grommit still has the photos of the ice formation that I fell off and partially dislocated my shoulder. let just say I have a great respect and fear of hills and ice. I also now know what dull cramp-ons are. But I would be willing to hike it this winter if you want to take it slow. I'm just not allowed to get injured until after July.

Hey Rol - all I managed (time) was 40 minutes of hoofin' the streets around my place, view of the city, beautiful night sky, full moon on the weekend.

Went to the pool for 1/2 hour after work, then home to a school project -- what is it with 12 year olds and punctuation..?

Hope some of you enjoyed the evening outdoors - 'fly

I went for some strides last night, I must have pushed it a tad much because I stayed bright red for a good 2 hours after my run. But it feels good to spice up my training.

I will confirm my Sunday attendence no later then tomorow morning…

Hey Df7 looked like a nice evening to run last night. I got in an hours run in the dark and cold this morning just under 7 miles. No one around at 4;00 am.

So, I did it, I signed up for the Pittsfield race. Pray for my soul.

Hey Knee, no punctuation, no fractions, got the night off form homework..

Roly - how is your eldest doing - better ? Talk about early morning run...no overwhelming odor from cars at that time.

Hill run this evening, started off alone, to catch some of the remaining daylight...it was lovely, on my way back down, met the group from the MAA and joined them..hey, someone has to be the slug

Caught sight of TB working hard when we eventually made it back in..

Anyone else run outdoors today ?
