Congrats to Chad on his "homecoming" win, I would have loved to have been there, but time wise I coudlnt' make it. I ran a small local race in Fayetteville instead, and it was a very well run race.

Been slow on here, this is just a bump to get us back to the top and to see how everyone is running.

I think I've bounced back from my foot injury. I got 255 miles in May and I only took 2 days off all month.

Hi everyone,
I'm pleased to say that I lived through (and finished) the Rock 'n Rollman Half IM. I can't even begin to list all the Macon people who helped contribute to my training, but I could not have done it alone.

Congrats to all the Half Iroman finishers. I won that race in gray friday night. I finished the race in 18.02 and Clark Walker was right behind me with a 18.37. Who is going to go do the Peach Festival 5k this coming up weekend?

Congrats to both of you guys, Kurt and Amber. It was a hot one yesterday, so i'm sure that half IM was rough!

Kurt, I'm thinking about coming down and running the Peach Festival race this weekend, not sure on that one yet. But I don't think it is this weekend. According to the Robinspacers web site, it's not until June 24th....any idea?

Congrats to you guys. I can't get any races in for a while because my son is playing baseball every weekend.

Amber,
I was passing thru Lizella Sunday morning and saw some bikes coming by. Felr sorry for you guys because it was already heating up pretty good.

Kurt,
Did you guys get wet in Gray? I was in Perry that evening and one heck of a storm blew in. It was wet in Jones County when I got home.

Anyone do the Turture Trail?

Steve

I saw Scotts smiling face in the paper yesterday. Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.

Bummer about the back Alan. Hope it heals up quickly.

I did a run yesterday afternoon at the river and it was HOT. There is usually a good shade and a breeze but not yesterday. BTW they have started paving the Macon side of the Riverwalk now. It will be a good place to get in a run when completed.

I did a 10 miler today at a solid pace (mid 6s on the way back) on a warm morning, and I felt great. My intervals (800s & 1200s) have been going well also. So, maybe I won't embarrass myself at Peachtree too much this year after all. But, usually it's when you're feeling great that you wind up with an injury.

Alan,

Josh and I both have had periformis syndrone. It responds well to stretching. But, it still takes a while to get over.

So my times are coming down finally. but Im going to take sometime off and rest my IT band, do a little bit of biking. I finally got to talk to the Gordon College cross coach and it looks like Im heading up there for the fall to go run. How is everybody running been going?

I am in a new training pattern now. I want to try some triathalons now so I am cutting a couple of running days and biking and swimming instead. It makes it easier to have intense workouts everyday with minimum impact. I need some good advice on interval workouts.....I am still going to run the Air Force Half Marathon in September so I do a long run and two speed workouts during the week......alternating weeks with hill workouts and tempo runs. So.....ALAN, JOSH, PERRY or anyone else that could give me a good workout.....do so please.

Man, has it been slow in here or what.

Alan, how is your back? Perry told me what is happening, and it sounds pretty painful.

Josh, are you still coming down to run the Peach Festival? I heard there is money, like a hundred or so.

Is there anybody else coming this saturday. Run Fit should be unleashing the new racing uniforms.

Kurt

I'm going to the orthopedic doctor in Macon next Wednesday. Its Hadaway or Thorneburg .One of those doctors. Anyone heard of either one and if they are pretty good docs. The pain is in the lower back sacroiliac hip joint area. Its not pirisyndrome but it might be the sciatic nerve. I still can't run 100 yards without it really bothering me.Thanks for your concern. Wish everyone luck in the upcoming peachtree . I have a number if anyone needs one. Number 127 . It is for the supersubseeded group . On the starting line .First come first serve.

Alan,

Hadaway fixed my daughter's broken elbow. I didn't have a problem with him. But, he's not athletic (at least he wasn't then).

I'll be at the Peach Festival in the morning. It will be my first 5K since November 2004. So, it will probably not be pretty.
