MARV!!!! Yeah, I loved the way you converted my application to a pdf when you put it on your site. In fact, I kind of ripped you off and downloaded it back from you to post on my internal website in pdf instead of a Word document. Do I owe you some kind of commission? And the bomb is good . . . as long as it's not ticking.

I don't like the fact that the forum has been moved over here...we've had it where it was at for like two and a half years! Oh well, good look to everyone that runs the sweetheart this weekend...who's running it? Josh

I plan to help the Lions Club at the Sweetheart Run tomorrow. I'll collect from you then if you show up. For all those who might be wondering whether to race tomorrow: wunderground.com says the chance of rain at 7AM is 20% and it increases to 70% at 10AM. So if you're finished and cooling down at 8:30, the chances are probably about 50-50.

I had some problems finding you guys in this new forum but here I am. As for my running....let's just say it has been almost nothing. I planned on taking a little time off after the Aviation half marathon but not this long.Aviation was not very good to me. I finished a little quicker than I did last year but only by about two minutes and considering the training I put myself through I was kind of surprised. About mile 4 my back started cramping up again and I lost the lead pack. I managed to pull it together though and ran very well until about mile 12 where I was nearly completely spent!!! The last 200 meters was killer. My calfs were cramping up so I couldn't even sprint it in. Anyway......my wife and I took a running free vacation to Florida and i started to notice a little pain in my knee. When we got back the pain was still there. It only hurt when I ran but it hurt enough to make me stop running until now. I have kept in decent shape by playing soccer but I feel terrible that I have lost so much time. Next week will be my first week going back to a full running schedule. The pain has all but gone away so I am ready to test it out. I think my days of running long races are over for now. I want to stick to the short and fast races. 10k's will be my focus for awhile I think. I noticed Perry said he had to lose 18 lbs. I am in the same boat. I am living large!!! I need to change my eating habits and get back to regular exercise because I am at 190+ right now and I should be at 170. Ideally I want to be at 165 but I will just aim for 175 for right now. If I can get back to running again it should be easy. Wish me luck......I have a long way back to how i was a month or so ago. Where did you guys go. Did we get moved because of some imminent domain thing by the moderator? Spenser, That was a tough day to run in W.R. Those winds were fierce and I also had some cramp issues which was new to me. Hope this Saturday turns out to be a nice day. Ever since I began running again after Tybee it's been nasty. I'll run the masters 15K. The hills on the course are challenging for me because most of my runs are on a track. Later, Steve

You were moved because of your sins for not running Charless Harris this Saturday.

Hey guys, I got voicemail from Steve yesterday and it sounds like he needs volunteers to help out with Al Toll on Saturday. I had to turn him down because I just found out that I have the flu, so if anybody can help, please let him know.Amber

Hey man...I'd do it, but I have an indoor track meet! Can't get out of this one, but thank god it is my last indoor meet! How about this though...I will be at the CRR10k or is that more of a slap in the face to the diehard Charles Harris runners? Josh

To everyone who decided not to run Al Toll Saturday, good choice. Actually it wasn't that bad, just a steady light rain. The turnout was pretty light due to the weather though. This is the first race I've run that no one passed me so that felt good. My 15K time was 1.10.10 or so. Anyone doing Cherry Blossom? I'm doing the half. Steve

Any idea what the half-marathon course will be? The race director told me last year that they could no longer run down Zebulon Road. But, the website has the same map from last year. She also told me that packet pickup would be at Run Fit Sports (I offered to be a sponsor). But, that's not the case either.

Are you sure there is a half ? I saw that there was one earlier but looks like they took it off the website.

I received a copy of the registration with the new marathon and half marathon route listed so it looks like both are on. I bet there aren't many marathon runners though because it was listed so late. The new routes are a lot less hilly.

Josh is one of the very few runners I know at least by name to keep a watch on and look up their times after a race. First in his age group in addition to a great time. Way to go.

Spencer, Congratulations! You are in for a treat. My youngest is now 16 and it seems like time just flew by so make the most of it.Amber, I'm signed up for the Cherry Blossom half also. Looks like the weather will be nice this weekend. Josh, Nice times you're putting in. Stay away from the green beer around Dublin. I am planning to run the Country Music Marathon next month and need a race for April 1rst. Anyone know of a good 10K anywhere close? Good luck to all. Steve
