Hello everyone!
It was great to hear the race reports, and training news updates from everyone..
Congrats on the Events Omni!! Mercury!! Roly!! Mr. & Mrs. Lambchops!!
I was able to follow through as planned, and get in the run I wanted before sunset. Just over a half hour, and I found my stride again, finally.
I guess I feel like I am back into the swing of things, and I am looking forward to catching up with some of you soon.. Maybe Thurs. evening..? I'll see how the week makes its progress. It would be great to run with some familar faces again.
Omni, are you going to run anywhere near that Track this week? or DF.. where have you been running mostly, and probably a better question.. at what time? haha
I'll keep checking in this week before Thurs.

Truxx: I don't know if the 400m track in St-Lambert is open at this time of the year. I'll try to pass by this week to check it out and I'll give you an answer.

Omni3.. Hey thanks for getting back to me.. The track is still froozen solid, however there is a 1.032 mile loop I did.. through the park, and then back along the main road. I think you would love it!.. Less repetive than the tract, and the it was snow free yesterday.. It might be a bit slushy for a couple days, but very do-able if it clears up again!.. Here is the link---->

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=11268

I will check back to see when you would be available.. I am free all week, and would prefer to run tomorrow, anytime!

Sally thank you for the concern, I'll be fine I know my chance are a lot less likely then Sir Grommits of finishing. I promise I won't cry if I DNF.
I have always dreamed of doing something like the Jay marathon but never had the courage to go thru with it. I think if I even run 2 miles I will have at least gotten further then ever before and I'll be one happy SOB.
New Jersey looks like fun but I have been trying to get some folks from work to run the 5 and 10 K races in Ottawa. Do you think I can crawl to the finish in both.
I did a little reading tonight and my problem may be my hip flexors, sitting all day at a desk can shorten these muscles and the pain is in that area (muscle pain). I'll try to stretch and strengthen this area using some of the info provided to me.
thanks all

Roly

Just got caught up on the weekend races, wow, great stuff considering the conditions. Thanks for sharing everyone.

Hi Truxx – how is the little one doin’ these days ? The Seaway Park track is under this frozen **** thats everywhere now because of the mix of snow and rain of the past few days.

As for where I run, the streets …you guessed it, early morning when there is less traffic or evenings..then I have to use sidewalks as well…my email is here somewhere if you want to meet up…my distances aren’t all that long these days…besides – you would be better paired up with O …couple of speedsters..

Hey Knee - you weren’t the only one to bail tonight…its MONDAY. Started off the day with munchkin taking a bad spill on some ice while trying to hustle to school..bruised temple. It was the day for falling down, her cousin took a serious face plant in the school yard, no broken teeth but what a lip !

Okay, have had enough of winter already, such as it is..bring on the terrace weather.

Omni3.. Thanks for checning in again tonight! I ran that loop 4 times and did it about 7 minute per mile.. I will run any speed, but I like to keep the distance right about there.. under 5 miles. I always have the energy for a longer run, but I prefer to keep it short still. How about tomorrow evening as early as possible, before it gets too dark. I can be the anytime..4, 5, 5:15.. 5:30? I have the whole day open, but I figure you have to schedule it after work...
DF7.. It is good to hear from you, and I will plan a run with you also! I will try your e-mail, Thanks!

Roly, that is an interesting diagnosis.. Good work searching for and finding out the problem, and I hope that the cure is just around the corner!!

Everyone else, I hope the week started out alright! I had a great day!".. I will be checking to see who is planning on the Thurs. night hill run?

I was checking out the list of participants for the Nike half in April. There already up to 1200 runners, wow! And there still another 2.5 months before the race.

KJ: We love you even more for this ...

I didn't run, cycle, nor swim today. I just kick-boxed and talked a lot on the phone inviting people to my party for next Monday night (Canadian Diabetes Fund-Raiser) ... who's coming? TB will be there ... I know you'd like to be there Grommit but you will be in Sarasoto (?) ... KJ? Anyone else?

http://www.bonniemak.com for details ... it's a really cool event with live music (6-piece professional band), drinks, food, great prizes, swing dance demos, incl. yours truly, and of course, the theme ... LOCK & KEY ... I worked really hard on this event, so come on out and support me ... Enjoy!

I have a friend coming in from New York to dance demo with me, and also my trainer Dirk flying in from Florida.

If I can get a sitter for Sunday morning, who would be keen for a run at 9 or 9:30? Maybe from the monument, maybe from my front door ... will have to check, depends on the sitter. Who wants to run with Dirk, a 22-time Ironman? He's come to work on my swimming with me ...

Also, I'm having dessert and tea at my place on Sunday night at 8:00pm. Some of my tri teammates and coach will be there ... who wants to come?

Df: Sorry to hear about munchkin ... I hope she's alright ... Get some Arnica, it'll help with the healing ...

TRUUUUXXXX and OMMMMNIIII !!! : So happy you're back ... I thought we had lost you, and now you're back in full force!

Sally

Sorry SS I won't be able to make it on Sunday night, My Mom is coming to stay for a week and have to pick her up Sunday night.

I am up for a run on Sunday, I would prefer running up the mountain. Hell knows I need the hill training.

Bump - where did everyone go ? Anyone else run tonight ?

Lovely night sky, plenty of stars, pretty moon, not much wind, not a night for a thong... cold. Great under foot, not much traffic, lots of good tunes..felt good. G'night.
