Sue I am glad you are safe! it is very scary- called my parents ( why do we do that when bad things happen) their neighbor just one yard behind ( I spent HOURS at her house in my youth ) was flying to CA from Boston. I Do hope it was not her flight! I am nerved out here and have to be calm for small ones who won't understand. Even parents from school - one is an American Airlines pilot... friend best friend works in WTC- he was close to tears at kindergarten pick up time ... it seems so wierd how linked we all are even far apart. Now is a time for prayers- wishing safety for you all. |

I live in Somerset county pa and they just confirmed that a 767 crashed near shanksville. The only good hope is the fact that shanksville is alot of farm country so hopefully this happened in a field! Im scared |

Just to let all you U.S. people know your neighbors to the North are watching and hoping people are ok. My college classes this morning have been delayed and everyone is watching CNN right now and talking about what a terrible thing this is.

I was on top of the World Wrade Center 3 weeks ago. Its tough to believe that all the people that were working up there are dead.I'm on the 28th floor of a highrise in San Francisco right now nervously looking out my window. According to CNN 2 planes are sill unaccounted for. We need to find these *******s find them soon and make them pay. |

The plane near Dulles is surrounded by F-16's. It's the anniversary of the Camp David accords. The WTC is gone. |

Tina, thanks, we're fine. Mt husband is working from home, so he's fine, and I don't have anyone in the WTC. The financial district was evacuated immediately after the first strike. The people IN the WTC, though....Tina, e-mail me any phone numbers of people you want checked on. And anyone else here do the same - I think it's impossible to get a long distance line. |

Flight in Somerset that went down was Chicago to NYC.....Still two planes which have fallen off radar, one was on the way to Washington. This isn't over yet by a long shot. CDC in Atlanta is preparing bio-terrorist teams to respond to the situation. NO evidence of that yet but they are readying.

My boss and a coworker were in Atlanta this morning as of 7:30 am. They were supposed to fly in to Florida last night but they were stuck when their flight was cancelled. At this point no one knows whether they are still in Atlanta or in Florida or in the air or otherwise. She is one of my very best friends and Im very concerned right now. |

Sue - the benefits of working from home! Woo hoo!You are so wonderful for offering to try to contact relatives - I have sent you an e-mail with my cousin's and mother-in-law's home phone numbers. Steve tried calling about an hour ago - nothing went through. I think my in-laws are OK - hopefully both safe at home in the Wolcott at 31st and 5th. Being the type of individuals we are, both physically and mentally, we have seen human life at its best. Now, unfortunately, we are seeing it at its very worst. This will take a lot of strength to survive. Please gather whatever strength you feel you have and make it available to the thousands of people who will need our help in the next few weeks.

The office here in Morristown, NJ is clearing out. We're far away enough from NY that we're in no danger at all. The place is still open for business, but a lot of people have loved ones who work in NY and aren't in the frame of mind to work. My sister-in-law works in Mid-town. I'm sure she's OK. Can't get through.I heard that the Pentagon was evacuated this morning. I hope that means there were no casualties. Also, I checked the Jerusalem Post website. They spoke to an expert who didn't think the Palestinian Group that claimed reponsibility did it. He speculated that it could have been Osama Bin Laden, though. |
