North Country Endurance Challenge

The North Country Endurance Challenge is a running, kayaking, and biking adventure race through moose-filled forests, mountain passes, and the headwaters of the Connecticut River. With two course lengths (30 and 60 miles) and options to race as an individual or team, this event is open to anybody with a need for off-road adventure who wants a chance at $6000 in prize money. Registering before July 1, 2014 will entitle you to a 15% discount and a tee shirt, and all competitors also receive a pre-race spaghetti dinner on September 5th.

The Sprint Course consists of two running and two mountain biking sections over 30 miles from The Balsams Resort, over Kelsey Notch and into Colebrook, NH. Racers can compete as individuals, or in teams of up to four people for a chance at the following prizes:

  • Fastest Individual Finisher: $500
  • Fastest Relay Team: $500
  • Fastest EMS/Fire/Law Enforcement Team: $500
  • Fastest High School Team: $500

The Premiere Course has two kayaking, four running, and three mountain biking sections from Pittsburg’s First Connecticut Lake and Lake Francis State park until it joins with the Sprint Course in Dixville Notch for the final descent to Colebrook. The total course cover approximately 60 miles and can be raced individually or as team of up to 9 people. Prizes for the Premiere Course are listed below:

  • Fastest Woman: $1000
  • Fastest Man: $1000
  • Fastest Relay Team: $500
