Hint: a genuine marathon movie: Run Grammie, RUN! The movie, which stars 86-years young New England running legend Louise Rossetti and premiers on July 29th in Wakefield Massachusetts.
Rossetti, one of New England’s most beloved runners, runs over 100 races a year and has won numerous age group awards. In the movie, she plays a 75 year old Grammie who wants to run the Boston Marathon. Her family (4 generations of strong women and their men) first resist, but then join in their personal marathons of life.
Enjoy a great summer 5K run and celebration that includes the movie premiere of Run Grammie Run - a feature length film shot in Massachusetts!
The movie will be preceded by a run or walk through the beautiful groomed, well maintained trails in the Breakheart Reservation in Rossetti’s hometown of Saugus, MA. This 5K course travels over a designated scenic course through this picturesque park. The course is moderately challenging over paths and paved walkways Walkers and runners are welcome!
