Located at Camp Carpenter in Manchester, NH.

The camp was developed by Raymond, a member of the Daniel Webster Council Staff and Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. "I developed Hidden Valley Running Camp because I realize the importance of giving back to our community and helping to shape today's youth".

My goal is to make this camp available to all High School Runners

Raymond had the opportunity to effectively combine his job with his passion for running and establish a viable and cost effective camp that will create opportunities for kids. "My goal is to make this camp available to all High School Runners by keeping the cost low without sacrificing the quality."

In it's inaugural year the Hidden Valley Running Camp will also provide motivated high school runners with the tools needed to perform at the highest level for the upcoming cross country season. They will be better prepared for the season by boosting their training on the hundreds of miles of trails available at Camp Carpenter. They will learn what it takes to become a better runner from listening to guest speakers including World-Class runners, Olympic athletes, and Collegiate Coaches. These will include prestigious speakers like Mark Coogan (two-time Olympian), Rich Hart (Northeastern University Distance coach), Gary Gardner (Coach of UMASS Lowell Track and Cross-country.)

The staff counselors are all collegiate runners with reputable backgrounds in running. Mike Sarro, a coach at Athletes Den, will provide elite coaching and programs for the camp. He will discuss the importance of nutrition, cross training, lactate threshold and race preparedness. The future for this running camp is limitless with the assets available to it.

Venturing is a youth development program of the BSA for both men and women who are 14 to 20 years old or have completed the 8th grade.

All campers involved in the Hidden Valley Running Camp will have the opportunity to participate in numerous activities throughout the year including ski trips, Rock Climbing , Rafting, Kayaking and Team Building weekend. Teams are welcome to contact Raymond Youngs to help design any High Adventure trip they may have interest in conducting.

Cost: Cost $185.00 per person
