Two-time Olympian adds 20th national title to resume with ING New York City Marathon win

Meb Keflezighi, who has started twelve marathons and finished eleven, debuted in New York City 2002 in 2:12:35 and seven years later, the 2004 Olympic Marathon silver medalist has come full circle with an impressive win and personal record of 2:09:15 at the 2009 ING New York City Marathon to end the 27-year U.S. victory drought at the event.

In addition, Keflezighi (left, NYRR) won his first marathon and first USA marathon title ever. The California resident now has 20 national titles from 5K to the marathon (14 road, 3 track and 3 cross country) with four crowns this year (marathon, half-marathon, 12K cross country and 7 miles).
