Sarnia, Ontario/Boston, Massachusetts –Thursday March 28, 2013 – Destined to Run, a publication of Mascot Press, Herndon, VA., is the new inspirational book by and about Wes Harding of Sarnia, Ontario Canada and tells the story of his journey from overweight and inactive couch potato to Boston marathon qualifier, triathlete and Ironman finisher, a four-year journey which began at the age of 40. Harding joins renowned author Todd Civin to relive the highs and lows of his amazing life and the challenges he has overcome along the way. The Foreword, written by the legendary Dick Hoyt (age 72) who has gained world-wide notoriety, competing as Team Hoyt, while he paddles, pedals and pushes his disabled son to the finish line in running events and triathlons around Massachusetts, New England and throughout the United States, including 30 Boston Marathons, 6 Ironman Triathlons and over 1100 races.

Harding, a principal and teacher at Temple Christian Academy in Sarnia shares the incredible stories of how he has walked with God in order to remain faithful and travel the life path that God has established for him.

This is more than just a story about a fat guy turned triathlete. Destined to Run tells Wes Harding's story of traveling through life and overcoming the immense challenges that have been tossed in front of his feet. Though he has stumbled and often fallen, he continued to have the strength and courage to get back up again while never losing faith in God.

Several notable individuals have endorsed the book including Uta Pippig, (three time Boston Marathon winner, Olympian, winner of the New York and Berlin marathons), Dave McGillivray, (B.A.A. Boston Marathon Race Director and author), Mayor Mike Bradley, (Mayor of the City of Sarnia, Ontario) and others.
