Critz Tybee Run Fest adds Kids Run

The Critz Tybee Run Fest, a longstanding, annual Tybee Island tradition, is poised to have another successful year that includes several new features debuting for the 2013 race event.
The Critz Tybee Run Fest, with its five different race courses of 5K, 10K, 2.8 Mile Beach Run, 1 mile and Half Marathon collectively equal to a full marathon distance of 26.2 miles, provides a great athletic outlet for adults and marathon enthusiasts, is introducing an new race event run to attract future generation of marathoners. The 2013 Run Fest will be hosting the First Annual Kids Run, a 1/7 mile loop near the Tybee Island Lighthouse on North Beach, on Friday, February 1st at 6 PM right before the start of the 5K event.

Following the Kids Run, the first day of the race weekend continues with the 5K night run at 6:15PM, and an opening party sponsored North Beach Bar & Grill. Runners, their families, friends and spectators should anticipate great food, drinks and live music. .
