WASHINGTON, DC - (March 10, 2006) - The 22nd Annual Army Ten-Miler welcomes Health Net Federal Services (Health Net) as a major sponsor. Health Net will become the title sponsor for the Youth Activity Zone and the youth runs, long time attractions of the Army Ten-Miler that typically draw over 300 children. Parents and kids in grades K-3 will participate in a 200 meter run while kids in grades 4 through 8 will participate in a 400 meter run. Registration for the Health Net Federal Services Youth Run opens on April 3 and can be done online at ArmyTenMiler.com.
Because of the nature of its business, Health Net was a great fit to participate in race weekend youth activities.
"Health Net is pleased to be a sponsor of the 2006 Army Ten-Miler. We support programs that help active duty members and their families achieve a fit and healthy life, and the Army Ten Miler supports this mission through its giving to the Army's Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs", said Steve Tough, president, Health Net Federal Services. "We are assembling a Health Net team and are looking forward to the October 8th race date."
