American Family Fitness Half Marathon registration closes with record 9,200 entries

RICHMOND, VA – The American Family Fitness Half Marathon closed registration with a total of 9,200 participants, a new participation record. The previous event record was 8,215 set last year.
The American Family Fitness Half Marathon is a companion race of the Anthem Richmond Marathon taking place on November 16. The Anthem Richmond Marathon and HCA Virginia 8k are still accepting registrations. Online registration is available at www.richmondmarathon.org. Registrations for the marathon and 8k will also be accepted at the Anthem Health and Fitness Expo at the Arthur Ashe Center on Thursday, November 14 from 5 – 9 p.m. and Friday, November 15 from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Last chance entries available to benefit Kids Run RVA. In a final effort to help anyone who waited too long to register for the American Family Fitness Half Marathon, the Sports Backers are offering entries to the first 25 individuals who donate $250 or more to Kids Run RVA. The special registration form can be found on the Richmond Marathon homepage at www.richmondmarathon.org and entries will be awarded on a first-come basis through Tuesday, November 12. Checks are to be made payable to the “Sports Backers.”
