USATF-New England Announces a Race Change, Date Change in New England Grand Prix

BOSTON – The USATF-New England Association Long Distance Running Chairs announced today that the sixth of seven races on the Grand Prix Schedule has been changed due to unforeseen scheduling and permitting issues.
The 10th Annual Jack Kerouac 5K, running in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 30, 2012, will replace the Legacy 5K previously planned for Dedham, Massachusetts on September 23. The Legacy 5K will not be held this year.
The Jack Kerouac 5K will run at noon, starting at the Kerouac Commemorative Park on Bridge Street in downtown Lowell; it finishes at Hookslide Kelly's Sports Bar, 19 Merrimack Street.
The 2012 USATF-NE Grand Prix continues this weekend with the 35th annual New Bedford Half Marathon, New Bedford, MA on Sunday, March 18. The Grand Prix got underway with the Jones 10 Miler, Amherst, MA on February 26.
