Active Duty Verification
500 active duty participant spots are available which are not subject to fundraising minimums (a $50 application fee does apply). This year, we will be working with our partner GOVX on the verification application process. The application for active duty, Guard and Reserve members will open in January.
Virtual Runner Parties
Not available to run or walk in the event but still want to help? Consider hosting a “virtual runner party” with you and your family, friends and co-workers! First 20 groups who host a virtual runner party and raise $15,000 or more will receive 10 Red Sox t-shirts and 10 grandstand tickets to a 2014 Red Sox game^ which you may use or we can donate to active duty military participants on your behalf.

The Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program helps Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families heal from the invisible wounds of war -– post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury (TBI) through clinical care, community education and research. We offer education for the community and clinicians on these “invisible wounds of war,” and conduct research in the understanding and treatment of post traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Launched in September 2009, the Home Base Program is a philanthropic partnership between the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital, and is the first partnership of its kind between an academic medical center and a major league baseball team.
