Grammy Nominee Tonic to Kickoff Cox Providence Rhode Races Weekend

Providence, RI – Grammy nominee Tonic will kick off the Cox Providence Rhode Races Weekend with a live performance at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence, Friday, May 1, 2009.
Tonic has had six top 10 singles and has earned two Grammy nominations, including one for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for "Take Me As I Am" and one for Best Rock Album. The band’s single "If You Could Only See" received the honor of being Rock Radio's most played song of 1998.
The concert is part of the second annual Cox Providence Rhode Races. Slated for Sunday, May 3 in downtown Providence, this unique event features the Cox Sports Marathon, Willow Tree Half Marathon and a 5k.
