Disaster Relief 5K Road Race a success – nearly $7,400 raised!
Net proceeds to go to American Red Cross for Superstorm Sandy and victims of future disasters

(Newmarket, NH--) LOCO Sports, Inc. presented the Disaster Relief 5K Road Race in Exeter, NH on Sunday December 2nd. Approximately 550 runners and walkers registered for the event, resulting in nearly $7,400 being raised.
LOCO Sports teamed up with Margaritas Restaurant to present the Disaster Relief 5K walk & run, supporting the Red Cross's efforts for disaster relief to those affected by Superstorm Sandy and other similar disasters. Participants ran and walked for a great cause and enjoyed a fajita-fueled party afterward.
100% of the net proceeds from the Disaster Relief 5K are being be donated by LOCO Sports to the American Red Cross for disaster relief to those affected by Superstorm Sandy and other disasters. The race proceeds were just over $6,200 while individual donations brought in another $1,150 for a grand total of nearly $7,400.
LOCO successfully engaged with their vendors and services partners who offered to participate at reduced or waived rates, thus increasing the amount of proceeds for the cause. These generous partners included Margarita’s Restaurant, Stonyfield, Yankee Timing, Serigraphics, Exeter Events & Tents, Szeliga Racing Services, Exeter Hospital and Dave’s Septic Services.
LOCO Sports is a New Hampshire-based event management company that presents 13 running races across New England.
