Amica Marathon Rated 4th Best in Runner’s World Magazine

Providence, RI – The Amica Marathon has been rated as the fourth best overall marathon in the country, according to a survey conducted by Runner’s World Magazine. The Amica Marathon, which offers a scenic and historic course, is held in Newport, Rhode Island.
Thousands of readers participated in the Runner’s World survey, which focused on many aspects of marathon racing that are important to runners. The participants weighed all the details and assessed more than 315 different marathons. The Amica Marathon, which offers a scenic and historic course in the City by the Sea, emerged as the fourth best marathon in the United States, according to the survey results. The Amica Marathon finished among some of the most prestigious marathons in the country, such as the famed Boston Marathon.
“We’re thrilled that the Amica Marathon ranked so high in the Runner’s World survey,” said Julie Montalbano, manager of the sponsorship team at Amica Insurance, the title sponsor of the Amica Marathon. “Amica has worked hard to make this marathon a world-class event. The 2010 Amica Marathon which is a Boston Marathon qualifier, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 17. The event includes a marathon, the UnitedHealthcare Half Marathon and a team-relay competition.
