Providence, RI – The Best performance of the day occurred recently at the second annual Cox Providence Rhode Races in downtown Providence, RI.

Drew Best , 27, captured his first ever marathon victory by winning the Cox Sports Marathon in a course-record 2:35.19 at the Cox Providence Rhode Races on Sunday, May 3. The Leverett, MA resident broke the previous course record held by Maine’s Blaine Moore (2:43.28).

“This was my first marathon win. I was hoping for a little faster time, but I am pleased to have taken my first title,” said Best. “The course is great-- it has everything.
