The Millennium Mile announces The Union Leader New Hampshire Sunday Newspaper has for the 4th year agreed to be the title sponsor for the 4th annual Millennium Mile on Sunday, December 29th at 2 pm in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Thus the namesake of the race shall be The 4th Annual Union Leader Millennium Mile.

Announcement of the inaugural "Kids K"
Millennium Mile is proud to have Ahern, Nichols, Hersey & Ahern Family Dentistry of Derry, New Hampshire as a sponsor for the first ever Ahern, Nichols, Hersey & Ahern "Kids K"

In 2001, 9 runners associated with Ahern, Nichols, Hersey & Ahern Family Dentistry ran in the Millennium Mile. Londonderry residents, Cory Ahern, Paul Ahern, and wife Karen all ran the Millennium Mile in 2000 and 2001. Not to be outdone, six (6) Herseys ran the downhill race in 2001- Don Hersey, his wife Rosemary and four children ages 8, 8, 12 and 12.

This year his practice has graciously donated the funds to sponsor the first ever kids race.

The "Kids K"- a Kids & Family Fun Run will be run approximately 10 minutes before the Millennium Mile. The Kids K is first 1000 meters of the downhill Millennium Mile course.

Announcement of the Millennium Mile College Scholarship
The Directors of the Millennium Mile, John Mortimer, Matt Downin, and Andy Downin are proud to announce the induction of the Millennium Mile College Scholarship Fund.

The annual scholarship is to be awarded to one deserving graduation male and one female student-athlete from the state of New Hampshire, who hopes to compete in collegiate track and field or cross-country. It is the hope of John, Matt and Andy that a young student-athlete from the state of New Hampshire can also experience participating in collegiate athletics.
