INDIANAPOLIS - USA Track & Field this month launches its first foray into lifestyle, reality television programming with the debut of “USATF 36: Sanya Richards-Ross”.

The USATF original program “USATF 36: Sanya Richards-Ross” will track the Olympic gold medalist for the 36 hours leading up to her season opener at the Nike Prefontaine Classic. The show will debut on NBC Sports Network on Friday, June 21 from 7:00-7:30 p.m. ET, and will re-air from 11:30 pm-midnight ET later that day. View the show's trailer here.

“USATF 36: Sanya Richards-Ross” will air during the 2013 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and lead into Friday’s ESPN 2 broadcast of the meet, which airs from 8:00-10:00 pm. View a full broadcast listing for the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships here.

The show is executive produced by USATF CEO Max Siegel, whose TV credits include producing and starring in the BET series “Changing Lanes” (2010) and the ESPN documentary film “Wendell Scott: A Race Story” (2011). “USATF 36: Sanya Richards-Ross”is produced by USATF Director of Entertainment Properties Adam Schmenk, a 2013 Emmy winner for his work with NBC at the 2012 Olympic Games.

“This kind of lifestyle programming is a key pillar of our corporate branding and business strategies,” said Siegel. “Sports and entertainment go hand-in-hand, and this platform allows us to reach a new audience. Launching the show with a star of Sanya’s caliber, in advance of our USA Outdoor Championships, helps draw attention to all our athletes and our top events. We look forward to airing this episode of ‘USATF 36’ and to producing more in the future.”

“USATF 36” marks Richards-Ross’s second foray into reality TV after filming “Sanya's Glam & Gold” earlier this year with her husband, two-time NFL Super Bowl champion Aaron Ross. “Sanya's Glam & Gold” will premiere July 25 on WE tv, and air every Thursday at 10:00 p.m. ET on the network.

“I am so excited to be a partner in debuting the ‘USATF 36’ series and am thrilled that USATF is taking the lead with this kind of innovation and creativity. Connecting with our fans, getting them excited about the sport, and reaching new fans is what being a professional athlete is all about,” said Richards-Ross. “I have loved the reality TV experience in shooting my series ‘Sanya's Glam & Gold’ for WE tv airing this summer and being able to do this episode as well has been fantastic.”
