The Mountain/Ultra Trail council of USA Track & Field has announced the line-up for the team that will represent the U.S. at the 2006 IAU 100km World Cup, on October 8 in Misari, South Korea.

Howard Nippert (Fork Union, Va.), who finished eighth in last year's IAU 100 km World Cup in Hokkaido, Japan, will lead Team USA. Other members include Patrick Russell (Duluth, Minn.) and Greg Crowther (Seattle, Wash.), who also were members of last year's fourth-place men's squad. Joining the three will be Bob Swenney (Rye Brook, N.Y.); Chad Ricklefs (Boulder, Colo.); and Phil Kochik (Seattle, Wash.).

The women's team will feature Ann Lunblad, who led last year's gold medal-winning team with a second-place finish at the World Cup. Other top-10 returnees from last year include Nikki Kimball (Bozeman, Mont.), who finished seventh and Tania Pacev (Lakewood, Colo.), who finished ninth. The remaining members of the team are Katherine Koski (Two Harbors, Minn.); Kami Semick (Bend, Ore.); and Connie Gardner (Medina, Ohio).

The Korea Ultra Marathon Federation (KUMF) will host the event under the patronage of the IAAF. More than 300 participants from more than 40 countries expected to compete. The venue will feature a 10 km loop course at the Misari (Motorboat Race Stadium) located 20 km east of Seoul.
