Running USA Celebrates 15 Years Strong!
National industry non-profit marks 15 years of achievement to advance and promote the sport

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - (March 13, 2014) - Today marks the 15th anniversary of the launch of Running USA
. On March 13, 1999, in Los Angeles, leading figures and events in the sport, along with USA Track & Field, formed a historic partnership: a national industry non-profit organization, according to the original press release, "devoted to improving the status of road racing in the United States through collective marketing and promotions, services to runners and events and the development of American world class stars."
"Today we celebrate our past 15 years of success and also recognize our Founders and Founding Members for their vision and support in creating Running USA. Over the past 15 years, Running USA has documented, promoted and advanced the sport, and together with our Members and Partners, we have helped grow the sport during the Second Running Boom," said Rich Harshbarger, Running USA CEO. "Today we are 15 years strong, and we look forward to what the next 15 years will bring."
