BOSTON, MA (March 26, 2010) — John Hancock Financial today said that Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot has withdrawn from the114th running of the Boston Marathon on April 19.

Cheruiyot, a four-time champion of the race, injured his right hip a few weeks ago and has been unable to conduct his usual training for the race.
