Posted Saturday, 7 June, 2003 The schedule for the USATF-NE Mountain Running Series is: May 24 - Mt. Wachucett - 4.3 miles - Princeton, MA The following New England athletes are members of the Teva US MountainRunning Team and will be competing in many of the events mentioned above: Dave Dunham - Bradford, MA (formerly of Londonderry, NH) Also look for the 43rd annual Mt. Washington Road Race on June 21 in Pinkham Notch, NH to be the most competitive mountain race in the United States. Mt. Washington regularly attracts most of the top American mountain runners as well as elite athletes from outside the US. For more info go to: http://www.gsrs.com/mwrr/ On July 6 the 25th annual Vail Hill Climb in Vail, CO will be the 2003 US On August 9 the Alyeska Mountain Race in Girdwood, AK will be a qualifier for the 2003 Teva US Mountain Running Team and will be run on the same course as the World Championships. http://www.wmrt2003.org/qualifier.htm In September of this year many of New England's top mountain runners will be competing in the World Mountain Running Championships in Anchorage, AK. This is the first time in the 19 year history of the Championship that the races will be held in North America.
