The 17th Annual Somerville Homeless Coalition 5K Road Race--Terrific Community Event--Tomorrow, October 6 at 9:00 a.m.Davis Square, Somerville, Massachusetts is the place to be for this 17th edition of the Somerville Homeless Coalition 5K, a new course with a single clockwise loop through the neighborhoods. Ride the T (the Red Line is right there), walk, bike on the famous Minuteman Rail Trail, drive; but get there any way you can for this 9:00 a.m. race followed by a good brunch.

The B.A.A. Half Marathon Runs this Sunday--The B.A.A. and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Celebrate Ten Years of PartnershipThe 12th Annual B.A.A. Half Marathon® will run on Sunday, October 7, 2012, and will conclude the three-race B.A.A. Distance Medley which began in April with the B.A.A. 5K, followed by the second annual B.A.A. 10K in June. Excitement is building as there will be over $200,000 in prize money on the line with the conclusion of this event, which sold out months ago.
Two Excellent Races Remain in the USATF-New England Grand PrixThe Jack Kerouac 5K in Lowell on September 30, 2012 and the Cape Cod Marathon on October 28 are the two remaining events in the 2012 USATF-NE Grand Prix. They are terrific road races and high level fun; and the Grand Prix and individual events are indeed for everyone. Seven events over seven months—New England leads the way for regional Association Championships.
