The 28th Bobby Bell Road Race—Running Tradition in the Merrimack Valley
Founded in 1987, the Bobby Bell Five Miler provides a blend of old school road racing traditions with several innovations, including gender grading so all compete on an equal basis. It’s the only major road race in the Merrimack Valley that has gender graded scoring. You will be treated to a terrific post race party and buffet with adult beverages and music in a delightful atmosphere. It will run on Sunday, October 12, 2014, the day before Columbus Day in historic Haverhill, Massachusetts.

The Tenth Annual Gregory E. Reeves Memorial Scholarship Run in Lovely Townsend, Massachusetts
On Saturday, October 11, 2014, the tenth annual--and probably the final--Gregory E. Reeves Memorial Scholarship Run will take place in lovely, historic Townsend, Massachusetts. Just 15 miles off Interstate 495, this town and 4.6-mile course seem a world apart. It is a picturesque loop from the quintessential Townsend Common through scenic residential and forested rural roads. Cash prizes, a wonderfully planned course, and lots of post race goodies bring runners back year after year.
The Tenth Annual Reebok Canton Road Race, a 10K, 5K and Kids' Mile Showing the Best of Canton, Massachusetts
It is coming up for you on Sunday, October 5, 2014, the tenth annual event that runs on a pleasant loop from the Reebok International Headquarters campus. It runs through and near the Blue Hills Reservation and by Mass Audubon’s Blue Hills Trailside Museum and Blue Hills Ski Area. Teams, corporations, runners, walkers, students are welcome. They have a kids’ run, limited edition Reebok tech shirts, free beer, chowder and chips, a caterer, and 50% off at Reebok’s flagship store. All these perks make this one very special indeed!

The Jack Kerouac 5K, America's Beatnik Run and Pub Tour
Coming on September 28, this celebration of Lowell’s most famous native son will have a new, scenic course and an interesting and enjoyable post race visit—for those 21 and older—to some of the best pub establishments in downtown Lowell. Half of it is “On the Road” and half on the Merrimack River bike path. It begins at Kerouac Park on Bridge Street and ends at the Tsongas Center—an autumn run along the river in support of the Jack Kerouac Scholarship Fund.
