One of the oldest relays in the nation, it is a running tradition in the Merrimack Valley like no other. It is the only club relay in the USA where all participants belong to a member club, 20 Massachusetts and New Hampshire running clubs. This year it will run for the 31st time on December 7, 2014: Five legs along a 27-mile course, Nashua to Lawrence--280 teams, seven towns, two states, one river--and a huge post race celebration!

Chasing Turkeys in Lynnfield—6th Running of the Lynnfield Rotary 5K Turkey Trot
Yes, turkeys are the awards for this wonderful holiday 5K, running on Sunday, November 23, the weekend before Thanksgiving. Six years of tradition, lots of contributions to local charities, and one heck of a great time for you and your family. It begins and ends at the wonderful MarketStreet Center in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, one of the nicest communities on the North Shore.

The Ninth Annual Bill’s Pizzeria 5K in Newton Centre with Kids' Spooky Sprint--Fun for a Cause
This is a wonderful 5K. The Kids' 1/4-mile Spooky Sprint, with hundreds in costume, sets the stage, and then the competitive 5K takes off on a lovely clockwise tour in Newton Centre, Massachusetts. It provides an amazingly enjoyable atmosphere, including their terrific post race pizza party with music. Costumes are welcome for the 5K run too. The October 26, 2014 event benefits the Travis Roy Foundation.

Paddy's Road Race - The Shillelagh Shuffle 3-Miler in Newton, Massachusetts
This wonderful three-miler is simply an awesome Irish-themed road race and celebration at a marvelous, quintessential Irish pub. It’s the New England Runner Pub Series finale—great race for a great cause. Yes, Paddy's in West Newton is the place to be for the 13th edition of the Paddy's Road Race, named for this famous host Irish Pub on Elm Street. The post race with food, Irish music, beer garden, raffles and more will reward your running endeavor and warm your heart.

The Third Annual Fall River Half Marathon and 5K—Race 12 in the New England Half Marathon Tour
This is Fall River’s only half marathon, coming Sunday, October 19, 2014. It starts and ends at BK's Beacon Tavern in the North End of Fall River near the Route 79-Route 24 split, and it includes a 5K and loads of fun. This is one of the original Half Marathons in the surging New England Half Marathon Tour, following two in New Hampshire and another two in Maine. It is a moderately challenging but enjoyable course, whether it’s your first or 101st.
