Running the Race Against Cancer lets you choose your own challenges of race distance, location, and even your fundraising goals. You can travel to another country to compete, run your favorite local race, or even organize your own event. You’ll be supporting cutting edge research, and those brave patients currently battling this terrible disease at this world-renown cancer center in Boston, Massachusetts. No matter the race distance, running and fundraising can make a difference.

Many runners are hesitant to fundraise for races, because they think it difficult; just as some decline to run because it is too demanding. This program makes fundraising far easier and simpler than you ever imagined. The official site provides online support and tools, as well as innovative features to create your own web page, track your contributions, e-mail friends and family members, and let everyone know what is happening regarding your duel goals.

How to get started.
Which race will you choose? Perhaps you and your friends have always wanted to travel to that special race, tackle your first 10K, or get your running club to do a marathon together. This program can provide that concrete goal and sense of camaraderie and purpose that may have been missing in previous trips or plans. It works! This program is a win-win-win. Feel good, and do good.

Why you are running your race?
Since 1947, cancer patients from around the world have come to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to battle their diseases. Dana-Farber specializes in providing expert, compassionate patient care to children and adults, while simultaneously advancing the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of cancer related diseases. As a result, U.S.News & World Report consistently ranks the Institute as the number one cancer center in New England.

Through thousands of inspirational fundraising events and the generosity of millions of people, the Jimmy Fund has been supported for many years by the Boston Red Sox, the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge, Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, and Variety Children’s Charity of New England, the Jimmy Fund is an American favorite that unites family, friends, and colleagues in the fight against cancer.

Your way and the highway.
By Running the Race Against Cancer, you can help this life saving organization reach the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.

Are you seeking new and higher goals for 2008? This world-class cancer center and world famous supporting fund are seeking committed runners. To start redefining your personal best today, click here. www.jimmyfund.org/run
