Join over 1,000 runners in Andover Massachusetts on Sunday, November 9th as they celebrate the 8th year of running to benefit the Dana–Farber Cancer Institute. Here is the chance to use the power of running to save lives and make tremendous strides in the fight against cancer.
Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are welcome. Be inspired to go the distance by the memory of Larry Robinson, former Andover High School principal who died at age 46 of cancer in 1999, and by Alexandra (Alex) Miliotis, who died of leukemia at age 16 in 2003.

Choose Your Distance
It is no wonder that this one-of-a-kind race event has become a popular fall tradition and a favorite among runners of every level and ability. Runners are sure to delight in the vibrant beauty that the town of Andover offers. The famed Indian Ridge golf course and country club provides the scenic setting for the USATF certified ten-mile loop course. There are not too many ten mile races available and this one a sure winner for the distance runner. It is truly a runner’s race, with chip timing and digital clocks at each mile. It will be the ideal challenge to test your level of endurance while making strides for a worthwhile cause. What a great way to get in gear for your next half- marathon!
If you are planning to run in the 5K you won’t be disappointed. This is an outstanding, moderately challenging course. Both the ten-mile course and the 5K courses were designed by runners with runners in mind. Race organizer, Roy Dennehy and Jack Norton, owner of The Athlete’s Corner in Andover, know that the courses are an integral part of what makes a great race. They designed these courses in 2001 and each year they have become more special as thousands of runners have made a difference in the lives of cancer patients.

Awards
A total of 90 awards are given immediately following each race. Top overall male and female finishers receive New Balance shoes. There are also male and female age group awards with a 13 and under youth category. In addition, there is a veteran’s category of 70+ in the ten-mile and 80+ for the 5K. Age group prizes include gift certificates to the Athlete’s Corner, NE Runner magazine subscriptions and Dunkin Donuts gift certificates.
The first 500 registered participants will receive long sleeve custom designed shirts. Be sure to register early to get one!

The Larry Robinson 10 Miler is guaranteed to deliver! The post race events feature a wide assortment of delicious food including the best soup on the planet delivered hot by Roger of Cote’s Market in Lowell.
