This is Fall River’s only half marathon, coming Sunday, October 20, 2013. It starts and ends at Beacon Light Tavern near famous Battleship Cove, and it includes a 5K and loads of fun. The Road Runners Club of America has designated this event their Massachusetts Half Marathon Championship. It is a moderately challenging but enjoyable course, whether it’s your first or 101st.

The Maple Leaf Half Marathon and 5K—Resurgent Popular Classic in Southwestern Vermont
The Maple Leaf Half Marathon and 5K will run on Saturday, September 7, 2013, in beautiful Manchester, Vermont. The organization and amenities are top notch, and the course is scenic and wonderful. There is something for everyone in this rural Vermont classic tour. It is one of those "must do" end of summer races in New England. Manchester, Vermont is a year-round sports and recreation destination in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest.

Boston is the Next Stop for the National Allstate Life InsuranceSM 13.1 Marathon® and Legends Bill Rodgers and Frank Shorter Will Run
It will be Bill Rodgers and Frank Shorter head to head for the One Fund Boston. For many runners Boston is their destination city with thousands of dedicated participants and fans. The 13.1 Marathon® Series includes eight events in some of America’s greatest cities, and this is number 5 on the list and it includes a 5K; both courses start and end at Suffolk Downs and run along Revere Beach on September 15, 2013.

If you are looking for a really good fall half marathon, please consider one of the most enjoyable to come along in a long time—the second annual Applecrest Half Marathon on September 8, 2013. This half marathon is one of those “must do” fall races in New England. It is a classic at a beautiful location - Applecrest Farm located in the town of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. Orchards are bountiful with apples, pumpkins, raspberries, and peaches. Applecrest Farms is also famous for their home-made apple pie and home-made ice cream and cider, all of which you will receive as a treat after your half marathon run.

The Beautiful Surftown Half Marathon and New 5K at Misquamicut State Beach, Westerly, Rhode Island
Your September Half Marathon has added a new 5K and more runners can enjoy this beautiful corner of Rhode Island shoreline, a lovely, picturesque place to run. They call it the Ocean State for good reason; some of the most beautiful beaches and seaside villages in the east are here, and this tour blasts off on Sunday, September 15, 2013. This race is a wonderful reason to gather the family for a day trip or weekend getaway to this charming corner of southern New England.
