The folks at LOCO Sports make sure that all the details are covered for you. Those details include a scenic course along fields and orchards in rural Hampton Falls, New Hampshire--about an hour from Boston and a little over an hour from Portland--half hour from Manchester and Nashua. They offer outstanding course support, a wicking tech shirt by Green Layer, which is made 100% from recycled fabric, a beautiful custom medal, and a fall feast at the finish with live music and many options offered by the Applecrest Farm. This is a terrific event and the inaugural was a huge success. And what a location--Applecrest Farm is the oldest and largest orchard in New Hampshire and claims to be the oldest continuously operated orchard in the USA, offering over 40 varieties of fruits and vegetables grown right on the farm, along with cider, ice cream, pies and other baked goods.
It is a USATF-certified course with some rolls to keep it interesting. Walkers are welcome and will have course support for three hours and thirty minutes. The course is carefully marked and monitored. There will be five aid stations with water at each, along with energy gel at one and Gatorade at another.

About the Course
The course is beautiful, especially this time of year when the entire Seacoast region prepares to explode into fall colors, which are especially vibrant along these lanes, bordering the fields and historic orchards. And all of it will be rural roads—very rural indeed--along land that has been producing fruit and vegetables for centuries.
This race begins and ends right on the property at Applecrest Farm. It is quiet and peaceful, and the scent of apples and harvest will be in the air. There is some elevation change with just enough moderate rolls to be invigorating. The course is basically one large loop along rural roads with historic homes and structures, fields and orchards abound as it winds its way through Hampton Falls and Kensington.
There will be awards for the top three overall females and males as well as five-year age group awards. Additional race amenities include: Beautiful rural course, plenty of parking, commemorative wicking technical shirts (Green Layer) to all registered half marathon participants; and all registered finishers will receive a beautiful commemorative, custom finisher’s medal. And of course all will receive that apple pie and ice cream, cider and fresh-as-can-be fruit, yogurt, beer and more.
