Mother Nature blessed the many New Year's Day Road Races in New England with near 60 degree temp-
eratures - while simultaneously cursing avid snowshoers by melting about our precious snow - and
forcing the Beavr Brook Snowshoe Race to be rescheduled to February 19. BUT 17 snow-loving snow-
shoe racing wanna-bees still showed up for the Snowy Slushy Trail Race.
The Tesuday Night Turtle contigent from Rhode Island led the way by taking the top 5 spots for
men and the top 2 spots for women, while Team Decatur Alabama topped them by taking last place
in both men's and women's categories --- but they still had fun venturing north having snowmobiled
the day before and feasting on Amarello's Famous Kale Soup post-race.
