Everyone received a complimentary Athens Victory Club cookbook. The top runners in each category also received trophies donated by Economy Trophy in Madison. Christine Smith won the New Balance gift certificate. Chloee Grignon and Blake Dawes each won t-shirts from Alder Brook Pig Farm and Haley McLeod won a t-shirt from J.Costa Carpentry. Thank you Lori for donating the shirts! Aprons were won by Anita Cooley, Natalie Sites, Sydney Dawes, and Nick Clark. Dylan Ricker and Marc Albert also won some baked goodies. Next race is August 11th at Sites Strawberry Farm in Athens starting at 6pm (registration at 5:30pm) brought to you by the Athens Victory Club. The theme for this race is “Remembering Marie”. Marie enjoyed handing out sticks and cheering on racers last season. She passed away this January after battling cancer. Racers are asked to wear yellow in her memory. Races will be held every Tuesday evening this summer- same time, same place, rain or shine. The entry fee is $3. Strollers welcome, but please leave your dogs at home.
