In the spirit of Columbus Day we decided to see if Worcester was flat by venturing out on yet another new course. Turns out Worcester is not flat at all but our new course is. Three miles of flatness in fact with the biggest "hill" being a little whoopdee do going under the bridge next to the Worcester Medical Center. Pretty cool new route that passes through the new "roundabout" in Washington Sq, (Home to the above likeness of C. Columbus) St V's hospital at Worcester Med center, The DCU Center, The Korean War Memorial, Green St, and of course, Kelley Sq. We also get a look at the new Hilton hotel, (no sign of Paris),and the new courthouse, (no sign of Paris here either).
Most of the Monday nighters are heading off to Lowell this weekend to participate in the Baystate Marathon. Should be a good time, if a marathon can actually be considered a good time, as there will be many familiar faces. In preparation Dr Jack Goolsky will be hosting a nipple bandaging clinic Friday night at the Greyhound for anyone who feels their nipples may need bandaging. Word on the street is that the good Dr may also consider applying body glide for a few lucky ladies.
Come on down next Monday for the post marathon war story walking wounded three miler.
