Does anyone really know what time it is?

Apparently we are all born with an internal biological clock that helps us adapt to the daily cycle of night and day. However last night's Nostradamus Mystical Predict Your Time 5K proved that some of us are born with an internal atomic clock.

Over the year's we have had some pretty close competitions when it comes to predicting race times; last night was the closest. As unbelievable as this may sound, the top seven runners were within one second of their predicted time. The competition was so close we had a tie for the overall win as Trenton Hoyt and Michael Mullen both predicted their times within .1 seconds! I don't know what the odds are of this happening, but I have to think they must be astronomical.
The
Competiton
As for the running competition, Dracut's Jim St. Pierre ran and outstanding
15:39 to lead all the men while Methuen's Christie Fox continued her winning
ways (three victories in four tries) to lead the women with a time of 20:04.
Christie still sits on top of the Good Times female leader board. On the men's
side, we saw a change in the overall top spot as Joe Donnelly, who has led from
race one, opted to by-pass the Good Times for an even better time at the MLB
All Star game at Yankee Stadium. This left the door open for Arlington's Ed
Hrynowksi who was more then willing to walk through it and take over the men's
top spot on the leader board.
Half-way Report
To date we have 70 runners who have completed all four races (40 men and 30
women). So if we don't have any significant drop off in the second half we will
be awarding a record amount of Gold Mylies, New England's largest race medal.
Our average race attendance has been 153 runners per week, this is up significantly
from last summer. To date we have awarded 101 PR Mylies for setting a course
PR.
"Holy
Team Competition, Batman"
Team competition returns to the Good Times after a two year hiatus. This time
around, teams of two will run against each other. All teams will be gender and
age graded making team strategy a bit more interesting. Top three teams win
refreshing beverages. If you don't have a team mate we can match you up on race
night. I hope you can join us next Tuesday, July 22, for the Dynamic Duo Team
Night and as always, we can't promise you'll run a fast time, but we guarantee
you'll have a Good Time at the Good Times Series.
