| Week #8 typified summer racing in New England. Hot, muggy and with a threat of thunderstorms. | |||||||||
| The trails were a bit sloppy and washed out after an earlier downpour. And, despite the efforts made | |||||||||
| to clear the 5m course of a fallen tree that had been there since the start of the series. Another | |||||||||
| toppled over just prior to the race. But, what's a little obstacle like a tree hurdle to the trail-hardened | |||||||||
| racer, huh? Justin Soucy continued his dominance with a 17:11 in the 5k. Lyra Clark again beat her | |||||||||
| previous best with a 19:39 and more inportantly promised to bring Dunkin Donut Bagels for next week. | |||||||||
| William Trevethick notched his first win in the 5m with a time of 33:26 and Melanie Shelsky | |||||||||
| ran unopposed to her 5m victory in 53:20. | |||||||||
