Our penultimate race of 2007 brought a hale and hearty crew to DW Fields Park
in Brockton for 6K jaunt under sunny skies with temperatures in the 40's. For
the first time ever at a 3CRP event ALL pre-entries showed up. Most races,
including other 3CRP races, usually get 15-20% no shows among pre-entries
Youth ruled on the men's side as 14 year old Brendan Whalen led from start to
finish to win with a strong time of 23:30. He was followed by 15 year old
Arthur Bianchi, before 43 year old John Schaecter broke the youths hold on
the top spots.
Laura Janelli ran away from the women's field to take a 3+ minute victory
over Emily Weldon, with Cindy Jolliemore taking 3rd.
The 2007 3CRP race season is almost over with only the Luv2Run Portland 5K on
December 1 But the break won't last very long as the 30th Annual Peanut Butter
Chip Chase starts of our 2008 season on January 1st in scenic Temple, NH.
