Nice night down at the
Greyhound with some new faces, some regulars, and some local "flavor" all
coexisting peacefully. Shepherds pie from the Curley kitchen was the meal
du jour along with the usual assorted baked goods. In an effort to trump
the partially eaten birthday cake brought in by Jack Goolsky a few weeks
back, somebody brought in an almost completely eaten cake. Yup just one
slice. Wouldn't surprise me to see someone go a step further and bring in a
plate of crumbs one of these weeks.
In addition to all of the
other grub, we were also surprised with a whole lotta shrimp brought in by
everyone's favorite surrogate Mom Tracy Flynn. No... she is not the eldest of
our runners, in fact she is younger than most. Tracy has been running with
us for year now and ALWAYS bakes or cooks for us even is she isn't running
that particular night. Sure her family doesn't get to eat on Monday's but
is that really something we are worried about? No it is not. :) Tracy has
been training hard for the Vermont City Marathon which happens to be coming up
this weekend. We all wish Tracy the best!!!
Sarah Joyce decided to win
tonight. When you are a good runner like Sarah you can make those kind of
decisions. Beat Sarah Joyce night coming.........??
