Boumil is tops in predict your time race

It was another great evening for the after race awards and celebration on the patio of Hookslide Kelly's, however the same could not be said for the run. The high humidity combined with temperatures exceeding 90-degrees made running a little on the slow side. Nevertheless eleven runners set course PRs and won the coveted Mylie medal.
This week's race theme was the Nostradamus Mystical Predict Your Time 5K and, as always, the competition was fierce. When the dust settled, Catrina Boumil of Lowell was crowned the overall champ as she was within 1.8-seconds of her predicted time. The top 13 runners were all within 8.6 seconds of their predicted time.
Benjamin Ndaya
of Lowell, MA won the time race for the second consecutive week in 15:34. Benjamin
currently sits atop the Good Times leader board with 2000 good time points.
To date he has won more Good Times Series races then any other male competitior,
however he has never won the overall championship. Maybe this is his year.

Spring series' champ Melanie Hire of Dracut, MA returned to capture the top spot for the women with a time of 21:20. Just a few second behind Melanie was the Good Times overall female leader Linda Quimby of Middleton, MA. Linda has amassed and impressive 1991 good time points over the past two weeks.
Runners were also thrilled to see ace photographer Jim Rhoades in attendance. Jim, who has the largest library of runner photographs in New England, photographed every participant in last night's race. Click here to view the photos.
The Good Times Series will be taking a one week sabbatical in observance of Independance Day. The series returns on July 10 for Dr. Cavor's Incredible Gravity Challenge 5K. All participants will be age, gender and weight graded. This is the only race of kind in the United States. If you are wondering who is Dr. Cavor and why a race is named after him, I suggest you do a Google search on "cavorite" for the answer.
On July 10 the runners who completed all ten races of the springtime series will be honored
with the presentation of the Smileyman 31M shirts. As always with the Good Times Series you will find a well run race, raffles, accurate computer timing and
a great post race party. So make sure to put Tuesday, July 10th on your race calendar
for the run, the fun and the camaraderie. In the words of the legendary Dave
LaBrode, "We can't promise you will run a fast time, but we do guarantee
you will have a Good Time!" Have a safe and happy Independence Day.
