Overall results

No cash prize tonight but
some would argue a pair of Red Sox tickets is better anyway. Sarah Joyce
walked away a winner with two tickets to a game later in the month when the
Detroit Tigers come to town. Tickets were courtesy of pub owners and our
weekly hosts Paul and Cindy Curley.
Loads of food post race tonight with
Anti pasto and Chicken salads provided by Gabriel Betancur of Tony's Pizza in
Kelley Sq. We also had our usual variety of home made baked goods and
even a package of Oreo Double Stuff cookies that nobody took credit
for. If baking just isn't your bag then Oreos are not a bad substitute.
Mark and Patricia Johnson brought their famous chocolate
cheesecake which was a big hit. So big in fact that many took extras
home including yours truly. Bring some of that home to the Mrs. and you got
yourself a ticket out of the doghouse. (If you happened to be in one by some
chance)
Now for the good stuff. There may be
some unwritten, or perhaps written, rule that you don't write about yourself in these kinds of
write-ups. I really don't know. But if there is, screw the rules. I won the race
tonight! Sure Weinberg is slowly coming off an injury and Mario was probably off
running fartleks with some future Olympians. Whatever, ain't very often,
and by that I mean ever, that a regular schmuck like myself crosses the
finish line first so I'll take it anyway I can.
No gimmicks planned for next week
just a good run with some good people and some Meatballs from the Kitchen Of Sue
Leo-Johnson. And for those easily offended it might be a good week to come
by as Jack Goolsky, equal opportunity offender will be out of town. :)
