Finally made it over the 30 runner mark without the Mayor's help...this could be the Worcester hump I was lookin' to leap over...without getting any bruises as I landed on the other side!!

The Rain all night Saturday and into the wee hours of Sunday was unsettling...loads of food and beer bought..now the runners and walkers had to show and show they did!! Not the big crowd "The Big Fella" is used ta lately..but don't let this fool ya..these small quaint..get to say hello to everyone affairs are the real deal..and the ones that bring the biggest smile to "The Big Fella" mug....plus we had a whole new crowd that mingled and tingled in Main South/District 4-Worcester today and that's a big part of all these new happenings!!

Anyway enough of the swanky...neighborhood chatter..cause we had some winners today...a Newton babe won the women's title..and you can bet she's gonna be talkin' about the Woostah Road Race she won in all those chi-chi cafe latte joints in and around Chestnut Hill and Scott Leslie of Worcester, MA is probably declaring right about now at Tweeds Pub on Grafton Street in Worcester that "he can't be beat, won't be beat"!!

It was a great day for road racing in Worcester...some out of town folks traveled to partake..some locals got out and welcomed in the out of towners..Mrs. Barilla of Marlborough, MA and Jose Lopez of Worcester did a fab joint on the grille...Jim DuPont of Raynham again showed why he is a great pal assisting with the timing....and the finish line and as the City of Worcester City Manager so eloquently states..Worcester, Massachusetts is a "City on the Move" and today was part of that movement:>)
