Castle
Hill Park
Ely Street
Worcester, Massachusetts 01609
Hosted by
the Somerville Striders Athletic
Club
If reading last week’s
Worcester WOMAG didn't convince you that Worcester is moving forward
and it is on the MOVE...then tonight’s results may help you along....more
women than men at the Castle Hill Park Monday Night 3 Miler tonight and one of
em' WON it outright!!! That’s right more women than men running up and
down Main South tonight and Johnny Law wasn't chasin' them:>)
Congratulations to Carol Hurley of Spencer, Massachusetts and the Central Mass
Striders...Carol brought history back 100+ years this evening as the site
of the park was at one time home to the now defunct and a mere foot note in the
Worcester history books (sad) Oread Collegiate School for Women - the first all
women's college in the country:>)
And cause I don't want all the men feeling discriminated against...kudos to
Jimmy Whittemore who has continued his streak of running every single Castle
Hill Park Monday Night 3 Milers...Jimmy recently moved to Worcester from
Leominster due to all the exciting things that are happening in WormTown....and
he hates to miss out on a great time!!
Castle Hill Park Monday Night 3 Milers will
be taking place right up until the end of August-stay tuned for some added
special nights- "The Big Fella"
